Base-line Survey on Teacher Education under TQI-SEP

The services provided were: (1)  Mobilized the Survey Team – Professional and Support;  (2)  Processed and field – tested the survey instruments/ questionnaires/ supervisions; (3)  Recruited, trained, field-tested and deployed the field-survey enumerators /supervisors;  (4)  Made arrangement for data checking/editing/ analyzing and generating output tables;  (5)  Preparation of reports;  (6)  Organized workshops for eliciting comments for incorporation in reports.

Services to Evaluate Educational Institutions for Establishment, Recognition and Eligibility for Receiving MPO by the Non-Govt, Madrasahs (grade VI-XII class) under Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (BMEB), Package B :  Chittagong Division and Package C :  Sylhet Division

The services provided by the Consultants were:  (i)  prepared a time-bound action plan for the services;  (ii)  conducted inspection of the aspirant institutions or required institutions for recognition and MPO subvention;  (iii)  resolved queries/observation with the procuring entity as and when required;  (iv)  collected information through spot visit; (v) conducted inspection of those educational institutions having MPO subvention for their continuation of government subsidy/subvention;  (vi)  prepared formats data sheets/questionnaires based on objective criteria;  (vii)  trained their own staff to effectively manage the task of inspection;  (viii)  prepared and submitted reports of inspection within the time frame set by the procuring entity.

4.  Project Planning and Implementation Management 

 

Effective Schools Through Enhanced Education Management (ESTEEM) :  Main Phase

 

In association of International Experts the Consultants provided the following services:  (i)  Designed the master training calendar for all training activities in the ESTEEM Project;  (ii)  ssisted on the management of ESTEEM training activities; (iii)  Assisted in establishing decentralized ESTEEM regional training structure; (iv) Prepared the complete management programme under the study; (v) Prepared full documentation on the process of facilitation and an evaluation of outcome of the management development to date; (vi)  Refined and streamlined existing monitoring and evaluation instruments used in the fields.

The services provided include (i)  prepared a time-bound action plan for the services; (ii)  prepared formats, data sheets/questionnaires based on objective criteria; (iii)  trained IIB’s own staff to effectively manage the task of inspection; (iv) conducted inspection of the aspirant institutions or required institutions for opening permission, academic recognition and MPO subvention; (v)  resolved queries/observation with the procuring entity as and when required; (vi)  collected information through spot-check-observation;  (vii)  conducted inspection of those educational institutions receiving MPO subvention for their eligibility for continuation of government subsidy/subvention;  (viii)  Prepared and submit reports of inspection within the time frame set by the procuring entity.

Staff Development Reforms through Performance Evaluation and Job Analysis

 

 

The objectives of Rural Development Project 9 were changed as a result of changes in policy on rural development.  Pathmark Associates Ltd. conducted performance evaluation and job analysis of the existing staff (400 in number) and determined those who could be retained and those who should be replaced so that new objectives could be achieved.
